There’s no doubt that after 18 months of living during the COVID pandemic, there’s a pervading sense of weariness and low-level anxiety. As my guest, Jason Wasser describes it, we’re living in a state of “Present Traumatic Stress Disorder which creates a mid-level of daily stress before our day has even begun. If you’re feeling exhausted, you’re not the only one. So, should you be taking a Mental Health Day to re-set? Perhaps, though most of us won’t. Today Jason and I dive in to explore the beliefs and stories we tell that keep us from giving ourselves the care we need. We talk about reverse-engineering the lives we want and the questions to ask in order to get there.
I love these questions Jason presents:
What are you here to do?
How do you get your stakeholders rallied around a common cause?
What’s the most important thing to do for you?
What beliefs do you have that prevent you from feeling like you have a choice?
Why do you feel GUILTY for taking self-care?
What makes you feel like you’re being selfish?
What are the should’s and supposed to’s that are keeping you from doing it?
What are you afraid to ask for?
As always, Jason and I have a great conversation, I hope you’ll listen in. If you want to learn more about Jason, check him out at Jason Wasser or listen to his podcast at The You Winning Life Podcast.
